Low idle after disconnected battery
I had my alternator replaced and we had to disconnect the battery, when I started it up it idled really low at like 500rpm, and it wants to drop lower when put it drive and it gets a little rough. This is the first time I’ve had my battery disconnected. I’ve heard the ECU just needs to relearn and I just need to drive it more, is that it? I just want to make sure I don’t have more problems on my hands
Normally what happens when you disconnect the battery is the first time the car is started it will shut off. The next time you start it up it will re-load settings which you will see on the screen asking you not to shut off your car. The idle should go to normal but it will have to relearn again. Make sure nothing was interrupted after the second start and the screen fully loaded the configuration successfully
