Default Lost my car keys.... pleas help

I lost my fob but still got the mechanic key... I matched the fcc number off of my older fob and got a new one off of ebay. I was going to the handshake procedure. When I put the paper clip in the appropriate pin on the od2 reader, it still says key not detected. So My question is do I have to unplug the ecu to erase the old key? I didn’t get a spare when I got car, so I’m starting from scratch. Any help would be appreciated!

Additional information located here;

Programming Used Smart Key (Fob)
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...t-key-fob.html

Additional video tutorial using OBD PIN;

1. The smart keys to be programmed need batteries - for some reason the ones I had didn't have batteries in them and the dealership failed to check. That is unless they removed them.

2. They needed to reset the proxy (proximity) computer.

3. It takes 16 minutes to access and reset the proximity computer - I believe Lexus set this up as a precaution so someone couldn't easily boost your car. It would take at least 16 minutes.

4. When programing the smart keys by touching the Lexus symbol of the fob to the ignition button in your car all other keys should be out of proximity (approximately 3 feet outside of your vehicle) and done one at a time - we noticed when we were programming that the lights on all the key fobs were blinking. This means the computer was confused on which key to program.

Do yourself a big favor and place an online order with car keys express. They made me a spare key for about $160. It's OEM, refurbished in a new case. I met the employee at the dealership nearby (he called me shortly after I ordered) and the guy cut it in his truck. If you need them to come to your house, you pay an extra fee of about $100. I tried to do it myself and it was a nightmare.
