Default electric short!?

Hi, i have 2011 IS350 which is running great however I have notice that when it rain heavily and I drive through puddles that the battery light indicator turns red for a few seconds, i lose power steering and I get a message on the LCD display that says climate control system error. This is only happening when it rains and it looks like its when I'm driving through heavy rain/puddles. I would have its not a climate control issue since the battery indicator goes red for a second or 2 and I lose power steering for a couple of seconds.

Could this be an electric issue, maybe a wire is cut and the water splashing under the car causes a short?

How are the condition of your wheel well liners? How about the under engine bay tray, is it there?

FYI, I run ZERO front wheel liners and have had no issues regarding moisture.

The wheel liners look ok, i know the car was in a accident with the previous owner and got hit on the left side. I will try to look at the liner again. The under engine bay tray, is that underneath the car? It it same to assume water is getting inside the electric wiring and causing a short?

you have a bad connection. Maybe a cracked connector where moisture gets in it. When it dries up symptoms go away. Track it down. To do this you need someone who is very good at understanding electrical systems of cars and knows where to start looking. Ask your friends and family if they know a good electrical car guy. They are worth their weight in gold as a bad one can take forever to find it. You likely have a cheap problem to fix but an expensive one to diagnose if in the wrong hands.

I brought it to lexus, turns our it was the serpentine belt. when wet, it was slipping causing power loss to the car.
