Default Techstream help

Hello everyone,
I was wondering how many of you have tech stream, where you got it, what you used it for and if it is worth it. I’m new to the Lexus community and trying to learn as much as I can. I’d greatly appreciate any information you have on techstream. Thank you all in advance!

I use Techstream for all my Toyota and Lexus when it comes to diagnostic and programing. Its very easy to use and it can do lot of things the normal scanners cant't. Just a caution, do not use bootleg cable when you think you will do programing to your car, it could render your ECU useless. Ask me how I know...

If you have lots a Toyota or Lexus, it's worthwhile to invest the legit cable from Drew Tech. It is expensive but it will work 100%, and if you later want to move on, you can always sell it for almost its cost.

Here you go: http://drewtech.com/mongoose/toyota2.html

Drew Tech is the approved license for Toyota so you will never have any problems with its cable. I've done tons of programing stuff with Techstream and Drew Tech cable, never once I have any problems or issues with it.

Thanks! I don’t know how I missed the drew tech before, all I found was bootleg stuff I wouldn’t bother with or versions for like 1,500 through Toyota

I think you've had yours for a while, but what version of software did it come with? I need to do some work on a 2017 Highlander.

TIA!

Mongoose cable from Drew Tech does not come with Techstream unfortunately.

A couple ways you could do though, either you do a subscription here: https://techinfo.snapon.com/TIS/register.aspx which you will always get the latest version of Techstream or you can get them from Ebay which works fine too with the Mongoose cable.
