Default Intermittent Transmission Problem!

Recently the trans has been occasionally slow and lazy to upshift to the next higher gear-- the engine RPMs just roll over without a sharp shift.

And last night while driving I hit the throttle and trans downshifted from 4 to 3 but the engine RPM surged up before shifting down to 3. But it only did that 1X time last night then the trans was shifting normal with no surging so I dont get it!!

5 mos ago the leaking trans gasket was changed out at Tustin Toyota and I wonder if they didnt refill the trans with oil correctly. Im going back there this week have them look at it!

Any ideas??!!

If the issue started after fixing the leaking trans gasket (or shortly after), there could be the possibility of not enough transmission fluid or improperly adding fluid in a way that allowed debis to come loose. By the way the transmission seems to be acting its more likely incorrect fluid levels

I think your cool, just get it back to them ASAP before you do experience a transmission failure
