For a couple weeks, my car's interior has developed a burning smell. It definitely is not coming from the engine, tires, or brakes.
The smell definitely continues while the car is sitting in the garage, cold and not turned on. IE., I haven't driven the car for 3 days but the smell continues to emanate.
It seems strongest around the steering wheel. And doesn't seem to be coming out of the a/c vents (when the car is on).
Nothing changed recently in my car or driving. No warning lights.
I just noticed it one day when I got in.
I equate the smell to burning metal.
It's the same smell I get when I use the metal blade on my circular saw to cut/burn through metals.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
