Hi mates,
I have Lexus IS year 2007 with navi system which I would like power up on bench. Can anyone help me with the wiring to power it up?
Other question is beucase I have disassembled a Lexus navigator and when removing it I have loosened some cables from a connector and not where they were. Someone could help me with some photos or how to place them?
You need to go back to the car and test which wire provides the power. There should be a constant +12V and another +12V ACC when the car is on accessory mode. On my car 2008, I believe it was a thick red wire and a yellow wire. Both wires should be connected to +12V to see if that turns it on. Oh, the ground is normally a black wire, but I think the metal bracket on the unit might work as well.
Hi mate,
The problem is I dont have car and I have to do on bench. It is firts time with this navi and I dont know which plug is where I power it up. If anyone can help me I´ll aprecite it.
Thaks a lot
This thread talked about the power wires. Unfortunately the pictures of the wires are gone. Your best bet might be to get on toyota's techinfo web site and look at the wiring diagrams there.
Create an account here and get the schematic. www.alldatadiy.com it's like $18 for a year long subscription. It is model year specific and you can't change years without adding another vehicle. YEAREND2020 may be a valid discount code.
For anyone else reading this it has everything for DIY repairs, specs, torque specs, fluids, repair info, testing tips and all that. It's well worth the $1.25 a month to have a subscription.

It's actually $29.95 for a 1 year subscription, and the coupon code doesn't work. That's still not bad

Buzz killer!!! Haha! When I subscribed a few years ago it cheaper. The continued cost is also half the original. Try YEAREND2019 doubt it will work but the carry the same code yearly if you get nearer years end.
