My car seems to have something missing or disconnected at the back of my engine. This pic is not my car - but see the red circle, my car looks the same, where I can see the pipe sticking out with nothing currently connected to it. And I can't see any hoses near there that look like they would connect to it. No check engine lights on and car has been running smooth...
Can anyone tell me what is missing so I can try and fix it or buy what's missing?
That looks like a heater hose port that goes to or from the heater core. I can't tell due to the tape, but usually there are two. An inlet and an outlet. They move coolant to the heater core which is usually located on the passenger side behind the firewall. That's what gives you heat when you turn the air on. As the coolant temp rises the more heat will be available. That picture looks like the engine has been dropped, which would definitely give you a better view of that area.

Post a picture of the the throttle body. The left two hoses should be there. If not then someone bypassed them. Probably a leaking heater core? Do you have heat in your car?
