Exhaust code and smell fix
Hey guys,
I currently have a 2007 lexus is350. I have been getting a horrible exhaust smell for a while now. I took it to one shop, where they located a small leak before the o2 sensor right under the drive side door therefore I had it repaired. No change In smell. I then took it to a high end exhaust shop where they told me that both mufflers and resonator are leaking at the top. As a result I've seen before that replacing the trunk vents will help with exhaust smell therefore I took them out to notice the flaps were completely gone. I then duct taped both of them, reinstalled them and the smell Is completley gone.
I'm currently getting a p0430 code cat bank 2 below threshold. No other leaks are were noted by the shop and I threw a heat gun on the cats and they seem to be working good. Any ideas on what could be causing the code?
Thanks.
