Default IS Gas Cap Replacement

Hey everyone so my 06 is350 has about 125k miles now and I have been wondering how can I replace the gas cap and if so how long do they last? Also I have seen that doing so "can" increase mpg, recently had all tires matching for some time now and 2 days ago cleaned my maf and new air filter coming but so far avg is above 26 and today after the reset it said 31. I have been filling up at costco recently now since its soo much cheaper, 2.99 for premium here in folsom ca and its top tier!!

Replacing the Gas cap will not increase your mileage. Gas caps wear eventually (but can last 100K+ miles). When you get a CEL -Check Engine Light that is emission related, it could be the Gas cap. But if you replace it, then it should last another 100K miles, will not hurt. Go for it.

Alright will do, is it as simple as just popping that plastic piece from the gas cap door and putting the new one in? Also is there a specific part number for the 350 gas cap

Search amazondotcom. Put in your car detail and what you are looking for and it will give you options. Before you pull the trigger make sure it says "fits your car." Saves you the hassle of returns. Look for good reviews.

I recently bought one for my '08 IS350 on Amazon for like $20. It was from Daytona Toyota, part # was 77300-06040. As mandyfig mentioned though, make sure it says that it'll fit your vehicle...

I had a brand new Gas Cap sitting in my drawer and it said TOYOTA on it. I took it and tried to fit it on my RX330...NO GO! It is important that the seller confirms that the unit fits your car model and year.
