Hi all....
Just wanted to say I joined the 200,000 mile club today! 2008, IS250, daily driver. Replacing the front struts this weekend, and rear brakes next weekend. No other issues.
Congratulations...
How long have you had it and what all has been done to it along the way?
Bought it 3 yrs ago with 119,000 on it.
Things I've done to it:
1. 4 New tires recently (Toyo)
2. Replaced alternator last yr.
3. Replaced plugs just after I bought it. (they looked good, but I had the plugs already, so I changed them).
4. New front rotors and brakes last yr. (Akebono pads, Centric rotors)
That's about all, except I use Full synthetic oil and change every 7,000 miles.
Congrats! I have owned mostly Toyota's since 1995 (and one Honda), and I have never had any major mechanical issues with any of them. The only car I ever owned that reached over 200K was my 1995 Corolla, it remained in my family until 2016 when my nephew traded it in through a program called cash for clunkers for a Prius. It was falling apart, but the engine was still working great! My current cars are a 2006 Toyota Camry SE 3.3L V6 at 145K, a 2013 Toyota Sienna with 135K, and a 2010 IS350 with a little over 60K (I bought it at 52K)
Congratulations :-). What shocks are you going to use? And why not do all four? Lastly , she’ll last to 300,000 as long as you keep doing what you’re doing.

I second on replacing all 4. I just did mine at 162K and it made quite a difference. The rear shocks are pressurized and my old ones didn't have any pressure left in them. I went with KYB. I didn't really think my shocks were bad but decided to replace anyway and it made a big difference. I replaced all the spring seats with OEM as well but that ended up being unnecessary. They're pretty thick on this car. I used Moog front strut mounts and my car seems to sit a little higher in the front. Not sure if those were the cause of that. They looked just like OEM except for the bump stops so I reused the old ones.
If you plan on keeping the car for another 100,000 miles, investing in excellent quality shocks with lifetime warranty may be the way to go.
In addition, don't forget to change the transmission fluid, unless you've done so.

I'm using KYB struts. My plan is to do the rears in about 2 weeks, when I have time again to do them.

I’m not to far from it myself. Just had a job change so I will be doing about 20k less a year. Im hopping to see 300k.
I am starting to feel more body roll. The car doesn’t seem as planted as it was when purchased at 125k.
Im planning in the spring I will do LCA bushings and a rear sway bar. My front shocks have about 50k on them.
