Default Subwoofer cheap fix

So last night I pulled out the stock woofer which sounded scratchy and blown. Pushing down on the cone I could feel it was rough and scratchy but if I pushed the cone towards one side it was smooth. So I took a rubber mallet and gave the magnet in the back a few hard wacks in various directions seeing as it was going into the garbage anyway. Somehow it shifted the magnet so the voice coil didn't rub anymore. Mounted it back in the car and it sounds new again.

So you succeeded in getting it fixed by using the traditional BFH (in your case RB - Rubber Mallet)! But worth to keep in mind, thanks for the tip.

I fixed my brake booster leak about the same way lol
I pulled the gasket in various directions and put it back and the leak is gone.

Sometimes we can fix things without really doing or spending much. I consider those a win. Lol

I love being able to "fix" things with a good beat down! LOL! Just keep your eye on good, used replacement subs, as your fix will only be temporary.
