Default 07 is250 with problems

Hi I have an 07 is250 and I am having a problem that nobody can seem to fix or diagnose. Here's the symptoms.....brake lights will not turn off, even after car is turned off, down shift paddle doesn't work, don't have to out foot on brake to start car, I have had multiple diagnostics ran and none have been able to find a problem....I need to address the problem and fix my car....any and all information will help... thanks

Has anyone tried disconnecting the brake switch to see if the lights turn off?

Sounds like the circuit for the brake lights is the problem! Switch ( on brake pedal) is faulty and stuck ON which means brake lights stay on and you can start car without putting foot on brake pedal as ECU is seeing brake pedal as pressed! ( if not faulty switch then perhaps a short to ground somewhere in the said circuit)

please report back with your findings/fix for others in the future.

What do you mean your not 100% sure....are you saying perhaps he never changed them, you are quite entitled to ask for the old/used/faulty parts that get removed when new parts are fitted as they are actually your property, because this is quite a logical assumption of the symptoms you present and yes there may be two brake switches as one is for the brake lights and one is for the cruise control system, so as a side note is the cruise control working properly? I am gonna guess NOT.
brake light switches should not cost the earth either, so a sensible first call on troubleshooting this problem.
