Default Question on installing LED Bulbs

I want to replace my Halogen HID's with LED headlights, and I am currently looking at SEALIGHT 9005/HB3 High Beam H11/H9 Low beam LED Combo package (600K Ice White) which is selling on Amazon for $76. They have good ratings. My questions are:

Has anyone installed these or similar LED lights?
How hard are these to install?
Are there any drawbacks or anything I should be aware of?

Get an HID kit instead side mounted projectors suck for output. Then adjust headlight throw properly.

Good HID kits Xenon Depot 5000k

Here's the aim procedure thread. Though HID bulbs will be brighter than halogen.

The instructions say the bottom cutoff should be approx 2.00" lower than the height center of headlight.

For HIDs I find I to use the top part, and lower 2.00". Other wise you will probably get flashed by other motorist at night.

You can always experiment which setting works best.

On another note. You will have to drill a 1.00" hole on the headlight covers. To pass the HID kit wiring. If you don't want to gut the car. Look elsewhere for other options.

Thank you for the link. I ordered the Xenon Depot 500K HID's. Double the price, but these will hopefully be much better. I bought the low beams, I don't think I will need the high beams as they are pretty bright already

XenonDepot is a vendor here. Well at least I think so PM them on the Vendors list threads. Maybe you'll luck and then can give you a discount.

I didn't see your other post. If you have halogen headlights H11 kit is what you will need. Whether it's the Xtream , or Volt kit. You might also have to depin the wiring to mate to the OEM sockets. There's many threads on this you can find here searching.

You can run a relay kit, but they work without it. I've had my original volt kit for almost 4 years now.

My HID fogs did fail, because I mounted them in a bad spot water got into the ballast. Bought new ones, and I have about 2 years on those remounted higher up near the bumber reinforcement bar.

I ordered the H11 kit, their website showed it was compatible with my Lexus (2010 IS350). A $5 off coupon popped up when adding them to the cart. They say they are plug and play, but I will search installing them.

I was reading that if you have HID's you should not install LED's, but since others have done it, why not!

So you have a IS350? Isn't stock HID already on your car? D4S bulbs? If that's the case you're gonna have to cancel your order. H11 is only for halogen headlights. Not AFS style headlights. Well at least confirm your stock headlights are not AFS.

Yes, that is correct, I have the IS350 with stock HID's. I don't know what the bulb number is. According to their website, they state that the these are compatible with my car. It pops up in green "Compatible with 2010 IS350"

If you are certain you have HID then you only need the bulbs. Which are D4S. The H11's are for the stock halogen headlights. Never trust the info on websites they are off sometimes. One size fits all type.

So I can't account for the quality for D4S bulbs. I've never used any from XDepot. It was my bad to think you had stock halogen headlights.
