Any reasonably priced headlamp replacements out there for the 06? I have the classic cloudy/foggy headlights and I don't feel like having to polish them every few months.

12+ OEM if you have the money
Depo has Hd and non HD versions
Ive seen Vlands in person finally and they look quite nice as well. The owners seemed happy with them.

I have VLANDs and they are nice and giving a good output with the low beams . the high beams could be better though. but the sequential turn signal gets attention from many people . even from other 2IS and 3IS owners. it is kinda on the pricey side but you get what you pay for IMO

I went with the Vipmotoz headlights a few weeks back. Output is amazing once you have them dialed in correctly, and using HID bulbs. You have to remove a small bracket from the inside of the projector to prevent spotting output.

You can read my post here. #157

I was still in the process of headlight adjustment. You can see the output from 25ft off the wall.

Why not a professional headlight restoration service then? If you have a Sams Club around, they charge $30 for their service. They wet sand the headlights, and spray a few layers of UV-resistant clear coat. Stays like new for much longer, and they warranty it iirc. I went with someone else who was local and paid $60 for both headlights, and that's what he did. Did it a year ago and they both still look good (car sits outside all summer with the hot Louisiana sun beating on it).

OEM for sure, if you can afford them. I have OEM replacement TYC headlights that I have yet to install. Look just like OEM, and are of decent quality. Getting sick of having to re-sand and coat every 3 months. Grrrrr!

Well I started having issues with the drl and turn signals not functioning. On the my second set. My first set was replaced under warranty due to them leaking water even after I sealed them up. Right one leaked bad. I tried sealing a couple times before I contacted them. Second set was good for a little bit. i have had plenty of aftermarket lights on my other cars. I sealed them like I did to the first set. After a 4 months of use, one turn signal randomly stopped working, then both DRL's shut off. I checked the relay harness, swapped modules and nothing worked. I finally gave up on it. I came across 2013's for a good deal. Much happier now. I am still waiting on VLAND to send me modules and a new harness. They claim that will fix the issue. I do not believe it will correct it but we shall see. Can't go wrong with OEM lights.

HID's keeping them bright
Yeah reviving old thread, G'ville350, you still around ? I hope so, I am also polishing these headlight every three month. They have the directional beams auto leveling HID's its like two strikes against me.
When polished up they look good. I have not used anything abrasive , just that Blue Coral headlight brightener, then McGuires gold class carnauba wax and McGuires headlight protector polish, So they are 'slick ! LOL
There was a thread on the forum here where someone , took the headlights out of the car, baked the whole assemble in the oven at some temperature say 250 degrees, and peeled the clear plastic covers off, painted all the chrome inside 'black matte'. The temperature from 'baking' in the oven made the silicon sealant soft so the plastic cover could be removed easily off the assembly.
I thought about doing this and buying a replacement set, that is only 'halogen' baking that new clear plastic off the new headlight assembly, and then putting those new clear lens covers that are not faded on my original headlight assemble. So I could keep HID and the directional lighting.
plan or shot in the dark? I need to do something.

I need a new front bumper while i have it off the car working on the headlights. Old clear plastic protector is stuck on there. replace bumper should be way easier & Cheaper.
anyhoo, I will keep looking for that old thread it was either 07 or 08. Great car, not getting rid of it.
best regards
Greyhound
