Caliper covers
Just noticed some Chinese companies are making plastic caliper covers. Never heard of these before and wondering if anyone has any experience with these? First how durable are these things? From what I understand they just go over the caliper to cover it completely and apparently are glued on. But if it's glued on then how do you remove it for brake pad changing and slider pin greasing? Does the caliper not get very hot? Will plastic not just melt or distort?

Most people do that at first but end up painting them or powder coating them. I'm personally not a fan and ended up painting mine with the G2 kit.

Caliper covers are the goofiest modification I have ever seen. I can spot the fakeness from 3 lanes away. If you want some sporty looking calipers, just paint them properly. Nobody who knows cars is going to think they're real. To each their own I suppose, but it's like putting an M badge on a 325i. Although I've never seen or heard of them melting or anything like that.
