Anyone else got a air filter whose gasket resin/glue melted??

 

I think that's normal. If you periodically check the filter. What happens the top cover will catch the cushion there. So now I loosen the top hose from the air box. Pull the maf connector off. Then I slide the top back into the pipe to clamp it down. Other wise you are basically forcing the top over the filter to clamp it down. Which in turn damages the seal there.

 

Agreed. It just got pulled to the side during clamping and took a set after being squished for ???? months...

Do your best to drop the top straight down and you should be good.
