I'd like to automate verious things of my car, I'd like the mirrors to automatically open and close, I'd like to turn off the door is open beep (very annoying, I know it's open there's a MASSIVE hole in my car!), I'd like my doors to automatically lock at x speed, I'd like my windows to automatically close and whatever else is possible.

All possible on an EU spec IS, apparently.

Can we do stuff like this ourselves with a specialised tool or do we need to go to a dealer?

Any options that the dealer can set, you can DIY with Techstream software, a laptop, and either a Mongoose or generic mini VCI adapter, (the latter widely available on eBay or Amazon). Software is licensed with a diagnostic professional level subscription to TIS ( https://techinfo.toyota.com )

Thanks very much for the tips! I just checked out some video's on HookTube, pretty neat. Also, can I tune the engine with this? What about installing the RR Racing tune? Thanks!
