Hi, when you press and hold the Unlock Button (on the Key or the door) this will Unlock the door (of course) Roll the windows down, and SLIDE OPEN the sunroof. I guess every one knows that.

Now, in the manual, it says i can Contact the dealer to change that option To TILT the sunroof instead of slide open it. RIGHT?

i contacted the dealer to have them change it to TILT, They had NO CLUE what i am talking about!!!!! this is the dealer in Kuwait.


Is there a way i can change that option myself??

The dealer here sucks ! The first time I called them up, the 'salesman' on the telephone told me that Mark Levinson is only available for the GS430. Another guy told me that the Gulf-states Mark Levinson only has 12 speakers. I was also told that the engine only has 231 hp because they calculate hp different in other parts of the world (not because they don't import any direct injection engines). So I'm not surprised that they don't know what you're talking about.

Unfortunately these settings can't be changed by you.

Did you try contacting the Lexus dealer in nearby Bahrain, Saudi, Qatar or even the UAE? Also, try talking to different people at the Kuwait dealer - you may get a few different answers to the same question.

I hear the dealer in the UAE is quite good, they are able to fit lowered suspension, for example, and their body shop repairs dents without respraying half of the car.

no way to do it yourself, unless you purchase the same computers at the dealership to tie into, and do it yourself.
Sorry you are having to deal with idiots. There are alot of them out there.
