Steering issues after Rack Replacement
I just replaced the steering rack on my IS250. The Previous rack was seized and steering will not move at all, no engine or p/s codes or lights.
After replacing the rack I am getting P/S light and of course the steering is hard to turn (before steering wont move at all". My question is the new rack supposed to work with the eps out of the box? or dos it require something else to get it going?
Update, I was able to scan the car using TIS and the code was C1555. I am suspecting its the EPS module. Any ideas?

Did you replace the steering ECU under the battery?
People upgrade to new ECU's those need programmed. A used steering ECU will provide assist but should still be calibrated. You have a CEL indicator on? It could be something else is damaged. You need techstream from Toyota to know for sure.

I fixed the problem. one of the connector was loose on the rack. For those of you who make recommendation in regards calibrating the ecu, You don't need to calibrate a used ecu. Only new ecu's require calibrating.
