Default Windshield Washer pump

Tried to look around but cant find any info on this. I tried using my washer fluid on my way to work and nothing was coming out I checked the hose ( since last time it broke off) but that wasnt the case now either.

Can anyone point me where exactly is the pump?? Is it where the sprayers are at or at the fluid reservoir? Also if theres fuses to this so i can check. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2008 lexus is 250

It has got enough fluid in the resivour yes? And don't rely on 'Washer Fluid Low Warning Light' indicating that it has just because it ain't on ( lamp could be gone!) Sorry to sound very basic here but you have to tackle this in a logical sequence.
Pump is gonna be 'in' resivour and first check is to operate switch and 'see' if pump is running by listening in the area of resivour, might be easier if you got someone to operate switch while you go 'hearing'.
If no motor action then either No electric supply to pump or Pump faulty.
If no electric supply then either Fuse/Switch or connections.
If supply healthy then Motor faulty.
If you have motor action then either blocked filter ( on inlet to pump which is in tank), blocked hose or nozzles or hose disconnected somewhere.

Thanks alot again man finally had a chance to look thoroughly and found one of the connectors to the hoses snapped off. Looks like this is the second time this year its happend. I wonder if they sell bundles of connectors like T's and elbows etc.

So which part of your connector is actually broken? My windshield washer is also not working. I can hear the pump, but no fluid comes out. It's been like that for a year now. I rarely use it; the only times I have used it is to check to make sure it's not broken or get clogged up :-)

Yes you should be able to get the connectors from any good auto shop but you will prob also have to get a short piece of suitable hose as well because the broken connectors will be difficult to remove as they have 'barbed' spigots and you may have to cut the original hose to get them off and this will then make the hose too short ( as manufactures do not normally leave any slack hose in there!) to allow just a new connector to join the two ends! So when finished you will end up with two new connectors with a new piece of hose between them joining the original hose, hope this makes sense?

Yeah I made it work with the existing hose and an extra connector I had but will need in the future a new hose if it happens again really no slack no more.

To no surprise check the hose going up the hood it broke once in there. And under the insulation the second if you dont see fluid coming out it's probably near the pump. I was just lucky to see it when I sprayed it
