Quick review of Falken Azenis F510 tires on 19" Fsport wheels
I was in the market for new tires and I was looking for something that doesn't break the bank like the set of Bridgestone I had. I got my 13 GS used so the first set of tires that comes with it are Michellin on the fronts and Dunlop on the rear. Those are some stiff tires . Then, I got a set of Bridgestone Potenzza at 35k miles , these are great tires, but the price set me back to about little over under $1300. The Bridgestone ran very well until below their legal tread depth. This time, the car is about 64K miles. I was on discount tires and saw these set of Falkens 245/40/19 and 266/35/19 and decided to give it a shot. The total price was $770 vs set of Bridgestone $1300. I don't drive like crazy only once a while full acceleration to 80mph on the freeway so these would fit me well.
Upon installation at discount tire, the first look impression are the 245 tires make the front wheels look staggered and beefier; The rear Falken 265 also looks slightly beefier than the Potenza I replaced as well. The very first minute I roll it out the parking lot I already felt the ride quality is already improved. My 13 GS is the luxury version with 19" wheels so the ride is very rough to my taste, especially on rough roads around Houston and Texas in general. I hated every bit of bumps and tiny road gaps that just makes me feel like I might bent my wheels or blow my tires when going through them. Even rolling through my garage drive way, the bumps are very annoying.
I hit a full throttle on the freeway with the new tires and everything seems to grip
. The road noise is reduced about 20-30%. The bumps I went through felt more well damped and controlled. I don't even believe it! Tires makes such a big difference in ride quality. I always had a mindset that skinny tires rides all the same (based on my experience with Michelin and Bridgestone) , but these prove me wrong. When I get back home, rolling through the garage drive way gap.. I can't feel the annoying bump that I used to hate. It's quieter and controlled compared to the previous tires. I am smiling inside that my GS felt like a different car .. a more Lexus riding experience, not too rough but firmed and controlled like the way the GS is built. The ride quality reminds me when I test drive the new 2019 ES350 Fsport package with skinny tires. The 19 ES350 is a bit softer well damped, my GS feel well damped just a bit stiffer than the ES.
After about 600-800 miles until today. I am very happy with these tires. It solves my problem with the rough ride quality on 19" wheels and skinny tires. I enjoyed my car alot more. Long trips felt more comfortable, freeway noise is reduced. Going through bumps and small pot holes doesn't feel like the car slammed and about to break its wheels. I also did some hard turns at 25-30mph and felt very confident.
If you don't want to spent $1000+ for new tires, these are the ones you should look into. Happy driving everyone!

I even got an alignment done with the new tires but I think it's just the suspension setup that liked to eat tires. Considering going away from the staggered wheel setup so I can rotate at least. Fronts are around 40%, rears are less than 10%.
I went back and double check my milage records, the Bridgestone last about 24K miles
. For the Dunlop and Michelin in I am not sure . Let's see how long these Falken will last. The thread depth is real deep. For the money, these are great compared to 1300$ brandname sets.
For Performance tires, the manufacturer didn't list how many thousand miles it will last. My guess anywhere from 20-30K miles depends on how you drive.
