High mileage IS350 worth it?

Thinking more about this..
Honestly at 4500 I would’ve been all over this car if I had seen it.
I would still recommend getting a PPi before purchase but in all honesty I would prbly buy that car even if I knew it had the same trouble I’m currently having with mine. (Oil consumption)
at 4,500 that’s a whole lot of car which at the same time worries me so I’d actually say the PPI is a must before purchasing this car.
Anyways good luck with finding the right 350!

An off the beaten track approach--I always ask how well the car does on a quarter or 0-60. Most proud owners of a sports car will tell you the times as a bragging point. I also ask about hard cornering and how well it does on windy roads. Many drivers will brag about taking it out on a windy road and pushing it hard on weekends. This tells me that the car has been driven hard, and the wear and tear are invisible.
I say this because for 30 years I raced road bikes (Kestrel Talon, Cannondale, Cervelo, Liv, Specialized S-Works Venge, Salsa Campeon, etc.) and while the bikes were beautiful when being sold, the components were often shot or badly worn out. Components on these bikes generally go for $1500-3000, and the frames can be fatigued, which won't be easily noted by a buyer unless they are really bike savvy.
This Lexus looks very nice and clean, notwithstanding, it doesn't hurt to ask harmless questions that give you insight into how it has been driven. And, BTW, no mechanic can give you this insight via a thorough inspection.
