So I noticed there’s a small bubble on my hood. Does anyone else have this problem or have any recommendations? And does anyone know if there’s a company that makes a bug/hood deflector for this car?
it can happen if you've gotten a deep rock chip and it wasn't touched up. I personally don;t like the look of those plastic hood guards as I think they make the car look cheap. I'd personally look into clear bra'ing the hood but I'd suggest getting the rust fixed first.
Our hoods are aluminum, you shouldn't worry about rust. It probably costs too much to get it touched up. My hood has several rock chips along the front, it should bother me but it doesn't
As was said, the 2IS has an aluminum hood. It may just be a chip that hasn't fallen off yet and is sort of flaking (or a poor repair). Hard to say without seeing it.
