Default Remove armrest

hi,
ive seen how to remove the center console, but I need to remove the armrest only. Looking at parts diagrams it looks to all snap together. Any advice?

Try taking a pry tool and remove the air vents behind the arm rest. It should pop right off. I think you can get to it from there.

So if you just wanted to change the top of the arm rest you can remove the two screws in the underside that attaches the latch mechanism. Then slide the top rear wards and off.

In my case the pivot part was missing the spring loaded bushings that ride in the track. So I also needed to replace the piviot.

To to do that you need to remove the rear vent and pry up the trim.

Next pull out the metal piviots. They are being squeezed by a metal clip so significant force is needed.
