Engine problem
doing donuts and I redlined it for a good minute and then did doughnuts properly and soon after my friend noticed a noise in the engine and said it was a “ROD KNOCK “ Car ran fine no lights came on next day it DIED. On me in the middle of traffic thought it was the battery got a jump and tried to start the car and smoke cane from the engine bay not sure exactly where but a burnt smell came to me and. The nice helper said it was. My starter and battery is fine brand new and charged for safety and still won’t start I need help my father in law says I need a new motor a motor for my is 350 Almost 2,000 I need help wondering if any one had the same issues the lights and ac work and everything fine just won’t start
Take it to a shop, have them open it up and check it out. We can't really diagnose anything without more details. Not a good idea to be redlining an engine for that long anyways, especially if it's a high mileage one. Let other people abuse and mess up their cars, no need to show off to others/your buddies.
Most likely you'll be learning an expensive lesson today if it requires a rebuild/replacement.

I agree with Zmon, tryen to show off for the old Pal's. Now instead of Joy riding like a normal person you get to look at that Fine IS350 08 Tungsten Pearl above. Marvel at how it works and drives well.
All jokes aside now, Best thing to do, have Pappa give you 1,000. Im sure it will be enough to atleast get it running.
I dident say it would be a fast car, but you can park it in the drive way until you come up with the rest of the Part money. Since the AC still works, you can CHILL out.

Rods knock when you decelerate. So if during your drive home you heard a knocking sound, when you let off the throttle at speed, that is sign it was oil starved and if this is the case, the engines pistons and rings may have ran dry also causing excessive wear via friction and hence the smoke seen now.
In short when spinning Donuts, the engine oil gets trapped by centrifugal force in the valve covers and other areas and doesn't return to the sump for proper recirculation of the oiling system.
Does it crank slowly? If so, pull the plugs and dump a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder. Crank it for a bit. Install plugs and jump with another vehicle. See what happens.
Good luck!
