Did coolant flush on my 250 few days ago at 125xxx km (77K miles). My mechanic suggests to replace it earlier than Toyota Lexus maintenance schedule recommends which is at 160XXX km.
He had seen on multiple occasions cars with blown head gaskets, water pump failures, overheating, thermostat problems, coolant leaks. corrosion and damage to radiators simply because coolant was neglected or never replaced. The coolant becomes more acidic over time and loses its cooling and rust prohibiting properties, causing corrosion and likely overheating.
It took around 8.0 Liters of Toyota Long Life coolant and the car was done in 50 min, I paid $170 bucks for the service.
