My 2007 IS 250 won’t start. I depress the brake pedal and push the ignition button and car indicates that I’m not pressing the pedal (regardless of how hard I am pressing it). I also already tried holding the fob right next to the ignition with no effect. Battery is pretty new. Jump start doesn’t do anything. All lights are working, battery doesn’t seem low at all but I cannot unlock car using fob. Any idea what this could be?

Is there any message on the gauge cluster stated “key not detected”?

Thank you for replying. No I do not get that message. I had someone look at it and he is convinced it is my alternator. I’ll report after it’s worked on in a few days.
