Hello, I am new here and glad to be here. I am looking at getting a used IS350. How much is too much to pay for a perfect conditon, 2007 IS350, with 40,000 miles.

If I had to guess, $14,000? I know it's typically around $10,000 for one closer to 100,000 miles.

 

Hello! I am also new here and looking for a good deal on a used IS350. I am not sure exactly what a good price is for you as it depends on what the market is like in your area. In my area the car your looking at would probably be priced somewhere around 15000$-19000$ as these cars tend to be anywhere from 1000$-3000$ over KBB value in the market Im in. The IS350 I am currently contemplating buying is a one owner at 76000 miles with lots of dealer service records and is going for 14000$ which is nearly 1000$ over KBB value. However when I arrived at the dealership to test drive it I found that the exterior had a decent amount of wear and tear, the tires and rims did not seem in good condition, the cars alignment was quite off, the carfax showed that damage had been reported to the front of the car (probably minor, as no accident was reported but damage nonetheless) and the dealership would not budge on price. Just sharing my experience, hope this helps.

Don't overlook the fact that it's a 11 year old car. I understand that it might be in perfect condition but things age regardless. For the right price it would obviously be worth it but if you're paying a premium then it probably makes more sense to buy something newer. This isn't a collector car or anything.

You should also consider the GS350. It doesn't demand as much of a premium as the IS350 and performs and drives just as well.

Given the low mileage on this specific IS350 I would estimate 9k on trade (assuming the car needs nothing). I would ballpark the asking price around 15k and they likely won't budge much on price, unless they've had it for sometime. Given your location and a RWD IS350, it might not see a lot of action??

End of month, now is the time to go push and see what you can get!

Maybe premiums aren’t a big deal for the OP?
OP, if you have not driven a gs350 go test drive one as the two cars are similar. Both have the same level of luxury but The IS 350 is a bit more sporty and MUCH quicker while the GS has more rear legroom. I test drove an is350 and gs350 back to back and I much preferred the is350 as it had the same luxury features and the performance difference was night and day.
For a private sale I would say a good price is maybe 13000$-14000$. Look and see what other is350’s are going for in your area and at what mileage and you should be able to get an idea.

Because you're an expert right? Get your Drivers license first and then let us know if you still feel that way.....LOL...Any moron can look at the specs and see they are pretty close. The difference in handling is negligible and can certainly be addressed.

 

They are quite different animals with the longer wheelbase, length and weight. I drove one and decided to get an IS instead. After meeting some people selling their IS, I ended up buying a Infiniti G37s. I went with my friend who picked up a 2007 with 99k on it. He got it for 10k it has new tires. I was pleased with the condition it was in. The car shifts smoothly and the engine is very smooth. I drove it to his home and it felt loose around the corners. I suggested to him to get the F sport rear sway. I think it would be great with the F sport springs and shocks. I have seen them used on ebay for $600, but I have only driven one with the sways.

 

Given the first hand reviews of others in this thread, you consider yourself a moron?

 

Both cars (is350 and gs350) can be modded for better handling and the is350 will still be faster, better looking and just as luxurious. They're both great cars and each should be test driven before making a decision but really unless you need to carry more than one passenger I think the is350 is the way to go.
