My dashboard is part of the recall program.
I did not find out about this recall until this week. My dashboard is very sticky and seems to be melting off the dash. I need it to be replaced under the recall program. Called the dealership and they stated I missed the cut-off. How can I get a recall I was not notified about. I did not receive a recall notice. I see on the computer that no one has been able to get this dashboard replaced even though a lawsuit issued Lexus an order to replace the dashboards.
What can I do at this poing

What are you talking about? A lot of people got gotten their dashboard replaced, including myself. Maybe you didn't get the notice because you moved? The send it to the address the have on file assuming you're the original owner and you bought it from Lexus. If you missed the deadline, you're SOL for a free replacement.

I'm in Canada but I have US model 2006 IS250 AWD. I found out about the program too late as well. I just got the run around from both Lexus Canada and USA. Canada says they don't have a program for dashboard replacements and the US side told me that a) your're too late and b) we can't do anything because the car was imported into Canada. So to me it seemed if the car was still registered in the US and Lexus Corporate would have been more willing to make an exception and try to get the dash for me.
I ran into the same situation with the carbon build up program. The Canadian dealer had to make an arrangment with a US dealer in order to get it completed. The US dealer had to agree to pay the Canadian dealer for performing the service since the Canadian models did not have the program available.

Im in the same boat as OP. I have an 06 that I purchased about a month ago which the previous owner never did the recall. I contacted toyota corporate who transferred me to the lexus dept. They basically said im SOL.

Likewise, from what I know there is no way to get it done if you missed the "cutout" I purchased a 2008 250 w/28k miles in October. Luckily the dash looks good but they did not do the recal.

The carbon build up I was able to get done eventually through the Canadian dealer. For the dashboard replacement it seems like I am out of luck.
The carbon build up service was not just a cleaning but pretty much an engine rebuild. I wanted it done at the dealer because it was free.
I'm just trying to outline that theres some customer service programs that available in the US but not for Canadian models. Even if the Canadian models are having the same issues and in the case where you have a US model in Canada you can potentially get the service done but it takes a lot of convincing everyone involved at every step.

Got my dashboard replace today after a 7 month wait for my 08 es 350. From some strange reason the dashboard feels like the same material. Hope this doesnt start melting again.
