Noise coming from engine when the humidity is high
Hey all, I've had this noise coming from under the hood for a while now and it seems every time the humidity gets up there the noise starts to appear. It's a bit hard to describe but I have a video https://streamable.com/ie5jq. (Forgive the portrait mode)
I first noticed it a year or two ago coming from the dealership and I mentioned the noise they took it in and I guess greased it up or something and it was fine for a while but it came back. They mentioned something about a wheel I think but not too sure? Memory isn't too good.
Does anybody have experience with this or might know what it could be?
Thanks

I didnt listen to video but moisture on a worn belt can cause slippage. The noise could be a squeak like sound or a much louder squawk.
With engine at idle, spray the drive belt with squirt bottle of water. Does it change the sound you are hearing?
If yes, make sure there are no sources of oil or anti-freeze being leaked on to the belt.
Next up, replace the belt. If still squeaking pray that no one sprayed the belt/pulleys with silicone belt dressing.
Verify tensioner is applying force. How to check proper amount? Good question. If in doubt, replace tensioner.

Appreciate the info, bah maybe I should just wait for a humid day and bring the car to my mechanic. Probably about time to get my belts changed anyways since I'm about to hit 100k.
