Default Engine swap

Gonna be swapping engines for my 11' is350 awd. Was curious if it matters if the engine came from a rwd is350? I would imagine I have to get an engine from a awd is350. Thanks in advanced.

I'm not 100% sure here but I don't think it matters. Just Keep the old one on hand since you might have to borrow a few things during the swap. The engine itself should be identical.

You will need to swap the oil pan and engine mounts, other than that they are the same.

Okay, so I'm presuming at that point I can just use my old parts right? I wouldn't a problem with that cause the only reason I'm swapping in the first place is a bad head.

Using your original parts is what I would recommend, yes.

Curious as to why you would need to swap your motor out.

The mechanic I went to say I am better off swapping out the motor instead of machining my current motor. Just going with his advice on this one I guess.
