IS350 Easy to Steal?
I know car thieves can take any car if they really want it, but I wonder how easy/hard would it be to steal an 06 IS350?
I work in an auto center and employees have to park in one main lot and walk to their dealer. So while at work the lot and my car are out of sight. I don't really worry but sometimes I wonder how safe my car is.

I actually started looking at lo-jack type devices recently as I sometimes reluctantly warm my car up in the am and worry someone will steal her. Wonder if the club works? Lol

I want to stop my car from being stolen in the first place. The Club would be a deterrant or some kind of motion sensor that would send an alarm to my phone. Im looking on ebay and Amazon for a device.

Disconnect your battery. Problem solved

Well with most modern cars I think the best way to steal them would be to grab your RFID signal when you use your remote. Or nowadays they have a box scanner or something of the sort. So maybe keep your remote in a faraday cage when not in use? lol

Im going to start leaving the car parked with the front wheels cranked over to one side. This will make towing less likely because the car will go sideways and also be difficult to put it up on a flatbed or tow dolly.

They have key spoofing devices out of china that copy and spoof nearby keys and boost the signal to your car. They do this to 2018 BMWs/range rovers off the lot with the most sophitisicacated security systems. So a 2006 lexus would be cake. but yeah thats why you have full coverage.. right.

Kill switches will make it harder to steal if someone uses the wireless interception / signal boost method to unlock it.

I believe there is also a DIY to add a tilt sensor to the factory alarm system somewhere in this forum to discourage theft via flatbed and wheel theft. Luckily there are a lot of newer and/or more valuable cars that might be a more attractive target than a 2IS.
You could even use an old spare phone or cheap prepaid phone with a small data plan hardwired into your car in a hidden location if you are willing to pay the monthly fee. Modern Android phones come with Android Device Manager that could be used for displaying GPS info rather than the app mentioned in the article below from 2010.
