Default Strange braking problem

I just purchased this is IS250 awd. The previous owner said he had the brakes done about a month ago and noticed this issue too. Whenever I step on the brake, I feel tapping feedback on my foot. Similar to when ABS is active. However, this happens every time I brake. Not matter how slow Im going or how soft I am on the pedal, the feedback occurs. Previous owner said this didnt happen until the pad and rotor change. The pedal feels normal, not too soft not to stiff. I dont have to depress it an abnormal amount to stop. The car stops when I want it to. The only issue is the feedback. Any ideas?

Sounds like the rotors (or one of the rotors) may have high spots causing your pulsating feel. Have the rotor/pad combo ever been bedded in?

The pads and rotors are only about a month old. Should I give it some time to bed before I bring it to a shop?

Yes, he did, Lou...sort of. By his response he doesn't know what is meant by bedding in the pads.

Sorry, I thought bedding just meant driving them for a certain period of time. I guess the answer is no? Nothing special was done, only drove on them for over a month.

^^^^Try bedding them in, there may be high spots left by pad material adhering to the rotor, bedding should remove it.

Some info on proper pad bedding after installation.

Was the proper brake hardware (clips, etc) re-used or new hardware used during the install of the new pads/new rotors.

Thanks for all the help. It turns out the previous owner didnt change all the brakes, only the rears. I took it to a mechanic and he said the front rotors were warped. I changed them out and everything is normal now.

^^^^Rotors don't warp, but as I said, they can develop high spots from the transfer of pad material. Glad it worked out for you.
