NEED HELP
I HAVE A 2009 LEXUS IS250 AWD WITH 60,700 MILES IT WAS 39 degrees Fahrenheit IN THE MORNING WHILE DRIVING MY RPM WENT UP AND BACK TO NORMAL THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME WANTED TO KNOW IS THIS NORMAL ? THANK YOU

How old is the battery?
When cold and IF THE RPMS ARE HIGH, turn off all loads. i.e. lights, seat heaters, defrost, audio, HVAC, etc. If the RPMs drop, get your battery load tested at an auto store or some place that sells batteries....
Let us know what you find.
Short story I had the key on, engine off for 10min while doing a Techstream update and the car wouldnt start. All accessories in the car were off and the battery failed to start the car.
Two days later it did what yours did. Having the failed battery in mind and knowing that heat, seat heat, lights, defrost were on, I began turning them off. RPM returned to 666. Replaced battery that night!
