Did you check to see if it isn't a ground wire that should be connected to the metal brackets there somewhere? It does look like it was pulled out of some sort of crimp connector.

I really don't see anywhere that wire could of been attached to for ground.

I was looking at some pics in google images and it looks like it goes into a single wire white connector on the back of the console unit (radio). You sure it didn't fall out when you pulled out your console? Look at the back of your console and see if there are any connectors in there without a wire.

That could be the antenna wire for your navigation, I encountered the same issue on an ES before. On the ES there was a grey plug on the back of the unit, try to see if maybe it’s still plugged in.

After hours of looking at the back of navigation pics i discovered it to be the antenna wire. Makes sense because my location of where i was on the map started to jump around. I know putting this wire back into the clip won't be easy because it has a positive in the middle and the negative around the wire has to be correct.

If not paying attention while removing the NAV unit, that single wire could be pulled out of the connector leaving you with these results.

Is the connector still in the back of the NAV unit?

I had a parts car to get the wire from and to replace the antenna you need to take out the dash so I just cut up the wires and soddered then together. Been a while and seems to be holding up.

Black is usually ground which can be connected any point on chasis. If painted spot scrape off it, use star washer with a screw for tight connection.

Isn't antenna lead coax type wire?

yes it is, but it seems to have done the job for me lol. I just really didn’t want to remove the dash to change the antenna so I took a risk.
