Default Cross Post for Rear Wheel bearing DIY

This post is the closest I have found which explains in pretty good detail of how to get at the rear wheel hub assembly. It also provides a good drawing to see the dust cover which is missing on my car from a previous mechanic failing to reinstall after he did the wheel hub assembly.

Cheers

See post15 dated Sep 4, 2017 for insight in to how to reinstall the dust cover using the pressure created between the rear axle in to the assembly upon install. The rear axle nut can be tighten and used as a "press" to seat the dust cover in place.

This is my path...we shall see how it goes.
