Default front rotor question

I need to replace rotors, I have an IS250 AWD and some sites ask if it is Canadian or US built. My side door states Japan built. Is there different sized rotors for the front of these. One site asked if it is 11.6 or 11.7 size?

Make sure it’s hub size is 62.0mm in size. I have a 2010 AWD. I bought the 2011 USA model ones from rockauto centric premium. No problems installed.

All ISX50s were built in Japan. They are built for the market they are shipped in and sold in. I'm assuming you have a US specification IS250 AWD.

Welcome to the site. Lots of GREAT information here. And lot's of folks sharing GREAT information.

Default Rotor sizing

The Lexus dealership said the 2009 I have is equipped with "directional" rotors, not sure if that helps in determining what size I have. Even thought my Vin starts with a J (Japan), I live in USA, so I would think I look for USA built lexus rather than Canadian built, is that correct? Thanks for information, looking at purchasing Stop Tech Cryo treated rotors or Centrix Premium High Carbon Rotors? Any thoughts? w/ Akebono pads. dante

Yes you'll want to buy the USA spec. Directional meaning, because the front rotors are vented. The fins to dissipate heat are facing forward. Akebon pads are great for daily driving low dust pads. If you want better pads look into the EBC pads.

Thanks for information. Already learning this is a great site for learning about which products you should go after or not. I am looking into the EBC, Akebono or Posi-quiet pads, too many good choices for sure.
As far as Rotors, I think I am narrowed down to Adams slotted/dimpled or Stop Tech Cryo treated slotted.

2006-2008 IS250's all have the same rotors with high friction pads.
2009+ USA-spec IS250's have thicker, directional rotors with low dust pads.
2009+ Canada- (and all other countries-) spec have the same as the 2006-2008 cars.

All IS models are built in Japan, they're not asking you where the car was built, they're asking you where the car was destined for/originally sold.
