Default 6'3" and infant seats

I'm considering a smaller vehicle than my RX for commuting purposes. Anyone 6'3+ own an IS and able to fit two rear facing car seats in the back?

I don't have kids, but I did try this with my niece and nephew once. Rear facing, unfortunately, will make whoever is in the front seats have very little leg room (which sucked as I'm 6'0", and you're 6'3" so it'll be worse for you). Had to kill that idea before I pulled out of the driveway.

These just really aren't the type of cars to be ferrying more than 2 people around in unfortunately. Your better choice would be looking at an ES or a GS for the rear space if you want to stick with Lexus. Alternatively, a Camry or an Avalon would also be fine choices if you'd at least like to stay under the Toyota umbrella.

They will fit, but make the front passengers have very little space. Being 6'3" I would make things nearly impossible.

Not a chance. I used a rear facing seat in my IS and there was no way it could go behind me at 6'2". Even with it behind the passenger seat, the wife at 5'5" was crammed uncomfortably close to the dash.

I have two twins that are 1 years old now and the rear facing seats won't fit behind me at 6 ft. I ended up getting a new car for the family and use the IS when i'm alone.

Thanks everyone. I think the IS is out. I test drove the IS many moons ago and liked it a lot.

I'm in the same situation. I'm looking to trade up for a GS. They have more space.

Try a GS350. It is basically the same car with more room.
