How to take front seat apart?
Hi
I am trying to figure out how to fix squeaky sounds coming from my side bolster. Does anyone know how to take the front leather seat apart? Will it involves unstitching the leather over side bolster?
Thanks

I have had strange noises come from seats in the past.
Ran the seat thru the full ranges of all its adjustments/movements to re circulate any lube on pivot pins, gears etc.

What I think? You got a fat pup buried in your seat. LOL.
Seriously, sounds like for sure something has come loose inside. I think you're on the right track on how to take it apart. Try this YouTube video
I saw another on YouTube many months ago where they removed everything. Poke around there.

Seldom is a seat sewn into place. So no, no stitching need be cut to remove or install. They used to sell replacement covers and things like seat heaters fail and I doubt the shops are filled with seamstresses to make repairs.
Get it out and the covers off, undo the hog rings and the back should come off. Good luck!
That is one crazy sound for a seat!

Did you mean I don't need to unsewn the back rest to remove cover? What is the best way to remove hog rings? Can they be reused again?
Thanks

Update
i got it fixed at a auto specialist upholstery shop. I was told that the gore sheet separating the springs and the cushion was worned out. He replaced with a new felt sheet to eliminate the squeeky noise once for all. He said it's quiet common with our car that the gore insulating sheet get worned out over time and the metal spring will rub against the cushion making squeeky noise. This is something i would not do for myself as its quiet tricky to remove seat covering with clips and hog rings.
