NaviTopia 10.4" Android Console For 2IS?
Sorry if I'm breaking a linking rule or anything but I just came across this in my travels... Seems to be for 2IS. I wouldn't bother but might be the right solution for someone else.
Seems sketchy af.

I found a video of a similar unit actually operating:
I can't find any installation info or specs on what the back end of the unit looks like with regards to the wiring harness.. In the video it does appear to be operating the climate controls and such.
I get where you're coming from but I think at $700ish USD, its comparable to other options. I paid more for my head unit/beatsonic combo and I believe the flyaudio unit is pricier as well.
I'm all for current firmware, but after watching the video and doing some more digging they seem to use a different version on all of their units. My educated guess would be that they are actually running a custom Android firmware designed to replicate the amenities of a modern head unit and communicate with each particular car. There may be limitations of the vehicle/tablet that require them to use a specific version, which may not be updatable which is bad for apps.
I'm still quite skeptical, but if the unit actually functions properly it might be worth the money for some despite the outdated/utilitarian trim.

All these touchscreens look awesome, and make me want to get one. But the issue holding me back from all of them is the airbag indicator.
Complaining about Android 4.4 when 5.0 is out for a head unit for a call that ran from 2006 to 2013 is a bit funny.
If you have any experience programming flashes, you might be able to back up the device and get 5.0 installed then bring over the apps/drivers necessary to update it.
