Triggered check engine light by accident

Question Triggered check engine light by accident

I have 2012 is250 i had air filter and intake hose disconnected when car was started by mistake! After I connected it back of course check engine light is on! Will it go out by itself of must I reset it?

The check engine light should turn off on its own after driving a couple of miles, but if it doesn't you could always reset it by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for 5-10 minutes.

As long as it is now correctly connected, it'll reset itself after maybe 1 or 2 restarts.
