Ok! This makes me feel good Every once and a while I prefer oem over aftermarket and would like to think that a company such as Lexus would have a very thorough & firm grip over QA/QC on EVERY part that touches their cars; which is why I'm trying so hard to stay oem with this vehicle. Usually I yank everything off from sway bars, to end links to tires, rims, pads, rotors, wiper blades, light bulbs, stereos and sound deadening and replace it with aftermarket. I bought this car in hopes I don't have to do that any more lol. On most other cars oem SUCKS, but it's getting old having to replace crap all the time. I'd rather just go to the dealer, buy the part, put it on and know it works than fussing with aftermarket crap any more. Thanks.

So are you guys saying it's $15 for the pair or $15 for each OEM blade?

When I bought mine, they had aftermarket and they suck. What do I need to get as a "holder" so I can replace with an OEM insert when they get bad?

Jeff Lange just posted this information earlier in the thread. To quote him: "Specifically the part numbers for the 2IS are 85212-53081 and 85222-53071 respectively."

keep the plastic blade holder and the metal parts in the rubber blade, go to dealer and just get the rubber blade for under $20.

I tossed my holders when I replaced them with aftermarket, seeing as all you can buy after market is the whole assembly and not just the rubber.. I was not aware that Lexus supplied just the rubber.. So this round I had to order the whole assembly to replace what I tossed out, $145 for the holder and rubber.. At least the dealership threw in a replacement rubber for free, so I have 2 blades with my new holders.

Damn... I have the actual wiper arm but the blade and attachment that J hooks to the arm is aftermarket. Guess I'll need to get the holders and blades.

I buy all of my blade inserts at the dealer. They even install them for free every time.

I typically buy them at the same time as an oil change so they always install them then.

Michelin Blades from Walmart...7.87 a blade, best blades I ever used. RainX never worked well for me, I had dollar store blades work better than RainX. I guess atleast the RainX lasted a long time...probably cause they weren't doing anything.

These are Denso hybrid wiper blades. Our dealer even sells them sometimes in denso packaging. I buy them online half the price.
