Default Diagnostic Coupons

Do you have any diagnostic coupons available. I've just been told that I would be charged $120 for Lexus to diagnose the problem with my locks (they do not respond to my keys nor the locks inside the car). I think that amount is ridiculous.

Ask to find out of the diagnosis cost is applied to the fix if the problem is found

My Costco membership gets me a discount on service at my local Lexus dealer, so you might try that or check local dealers websites

You might want to post some more about the issue so folks can help troubleshoot. Could it be the car battery is dead? What led up to this?

I think in such a case an indie is a good bet. They will officially state that they do have a diagnostic charge, which can be applied to the repair. But unofficially it's been my experience they're willing to look at things for free (the one that I go to, to include putting your car on the lift and poking around--referred my cousin who had a CR-V whine sound). The key in this scenario is that you're not using them for the answer, only to take it elsewhere, you're trying to determine if it's worth fixing, or too costly....
