So I'm embarrassed to start my car because it's so loud. I took it to the dealer where I got the car from but he says there's nothing wrong. I feel the noise is only when it's cold. After the car warms up it's not as loud but it's still loud. Any thoughts?

 

On cold starts the engine revs to about 1200 rpm and stays there until the engine gets to a certain temp. Helps warm the car up faster

 

It is normal for the car to be loud at startup.

What kind of noise is the car making? If it's some loud rattle, it's an issue, but Lexus doesn't want to recall if you have an IS250. But if it's really bothering you, you can contact Lexus corporate office to see if they will do something about it.

 

Does your car have an aftermarket exhaust system?

 

I was unable to sign into my other account it wouldn't even let me change my password. I just wanted to let you guys know that I had leakage in my y tubes. I plan on getting it replaced in the future but in the meantime I just had it patched up. Thanks for y'all help
