Default Reputable online JDM part source?

Brand new to Club Lexus,

First Lexus owned , 2010 Is250 and I am looking to see if anyone knows of a reputable online source for JDM parts?
What would be the pros and cons to online shopping for parts?

Im wanting to change out head and tail lights to start. Feeling pretty excited to slowly tweak this beautiful machine.

Some pics of my car.

Beautiful car! Are the turn signals on the side mirror standard in Canada? I see your headlamps and they do not jive with the age of the car with the signals on the side mirror. Or am I missing something?

I wouldn't say there are any reputable companies that make parts for the Lexus 2is. You kinda have to search different vendors/sellers for various mods. The 2is don't have very many aftermarket scene. So you'll have to custom a lot of things or buy off members. There aren't many options for parts as mostly, there is just 1 "good" make for that part (i.e ppe headers).

welcome to CL, buddy. Enjoy your stay!

The turn signals on the mirrors was standard on the 2010 IS. So they do "jibe" with the age of the car. I'm not sure what you are talking about with the headlights. They look completely stock to me.

My bad, 2009 IS had the turn signals in the side mirrors.

side mirror turn signals and new led tail lights started in 09 and yes... the headlights didn't get updated with the led strip until 2011. so they do look out of place. And yet for some reason all the plug and plays led headlights are for pre-2009 models. 2009-2010 models are overlooked for many aftermarket parts

So I am thinking of putting in side markers on my IS (like the Alteeza). I think it helps with turning as people see your intent. There is a blind spot hence these markers are so important.

However it means that you have to tap into the signal wires, which means you have to drop the bumper, correct?

Yes everything is stock. I definitely want the LED strip lights. I appreciate the feedback for the parts. I sorta figured that , but thought I would put it out there in case anyone came across something. Still pretty pumped to get this car looking clean.

for a led strip type light. You can buy one off eBay for around $300/pair. I don't normally advise buying from eBay but I actually purchased my light off eBay and it's still running great (been like 2 years). It was a direct plug and play and they gave me options for whichever hid color I wanted.
