Default Do I need a recall?

Hello everyone. My name is James, and I am new to the Lexus community. I am looking at a very low mileage 2008 IS350 and I am concerned that it may have needed the valve spring recall. Does anybody know exactly what years and or VIN number vehicles needed the recall performed? I checked the Carfax and there were no recalls needed or performed. Any help is appreciated. I look forward to joining the community.

Might get more help if you post up the year etc of the one your buying?
If you've checked already I suppose there is nothing more to add.

Get the VIN if you don't already. Then sign up at lexus.com as an owner using the VIN. It should then give you ALL of the Lexus dealership work history on the car (including recalls).

Thanks that website is great. Looks like it was done. Below are the big ticket items performed. Is there anything else I should look into on a 2008? This vehicle was well maintained by Lexus, which I am very happy to see.

Can anyone confirm the first recall I mentioned is the valve spring replacement? The verbiage is not clear.

Yeah, ALE is the valve spring service campaign.

Those are the big three, always good to see those done. Only other things would be the melting dash/door panel campaign, and the passenger airbag recall. If it's a dealer, I'm kind of surprised they're selling the car if it hasn't had the airbag recall performed.

Does the Lexus website show how the car was originally packaged? I can't find anything like that.

The airbag was performed I forgot to list it. No dash repair. Can I just take it in to have that performed? I would think the car is to old to get it done now.

No, there should still be time to get on the list for dash/door panel replacements. I believe primary coverage ends in May. Secondary coverage for the dash/door panels starts when the primary coverage ends, and I believe it's 8 years from in-service date of the vehicle.

You may need to call corporate to get a window sticker with the vehicles options.
