Default Keyless Remotes

Does the push button keyless remote take batteries if none of the buttons operate?

I believe so, not sure if there's any programming required after replacing the battery. I did just see the instructions in the manual last night while on the hunt for homelink stuff so I can help you with getting to the battery.

Pull out the emergency key, by pressing the button next to the key ring. That will expose a slot in the corner. Put the end of the key in the corner slot and twist. It should help pop the back off from the rest of the case. You'll find a CR1632 in there, I'd recommend doing this over a table or bed because the parts can separate, board, buttons, case, etc.

No programming is required, just pop the case open as rebpdx described, and change the battery.

The manual states it so, too.

No they just need to be rubbed on the carpet or your leg, to create some static electricity.
