Rusted out headlight bulb harness
My car was involved in an accident before I bought it that left the driver-side headlight with condensation issues. About a year ago I took my car to get washed and so much condensation ended up in the housing that the bulb would not function. After blow drying all of the condensation out and replacing the bulb things were working again. Then, about 4 months ago I took my car to get washed again. The same thing happened. Tons of condensation in the housing and the bulb would not light. This was in the middle of winter so I didn't take the time to blow dry the condensation out of the housing. I decided to let the housing dry out on its own. My housing has looked pretty dry for the last week yet my light still hasn't functioned. So yesterday I replaced the bulb. Still no light . I noticed rust on the wire from the ballast to the bulb. I am wondering if that could be the culprit and if anyone has experience replacing either that wire or the ballast unit.

The rust is probably inhibiting the contact from ballast to the bulb. Try to clean most of it of with a fine wire brush. Be sure to disconnect your battery. You don't want to cause some kind of electrical short.
