Hey guys I was wondering if somebody can help me pinpoint the source of the noise thats coming from my 08 IS350 engine. It seems that everytime there is humid weather it will have this noise and after driving a while the noise will die down.

I first noticed it last year at the lexus dealership and they mentioned something about a "wheel" but that it will go away so I didn't really pay attention to it and I guess the past few days of humidity caused the noise to come back again and it's kinda driving me nuts. The noise also increases with acceleration

I've recorded a video here if somebody can help, would be much appreciated.

Need to open the hood and check out what region of the engine bay it is coming from. Is the sound coming from the front of the motor or to the driver side? Could be water pump bearing, could be alternator, could be the tensioner pulley.

Thanks for the reply, I'm not sure if this video helps more I have the noise with the engine visible. I had the water pump replaced last year and everything was fine for a while. I'm hoping its not the water pump again. Is there anything that can be related to the "wheel" thing that the lexus tech mentioned? Wheel thing getting rusty perhaps?

^Was the video taken while the electric fans were NOT running? I'll assume not. It does sound to be directly in front of the engine. You have the water pump there, as well as the tensioner pulley, an idler pulley, and of course the crank pulley. When the water pump was replaced, was the accessory belt replacement along with it?
